Dear Sharon and Don,

I was most saddened to hear of Brandon's passing. I have fond memories of him as he was one of our core members in Luvability Minisitries. The first day I met him was a hot summer day and we connected in the parking lot at First Missionary Church in Niles. He was holding a red tractor and I turned the wheels making sounds for him to respond to. He did.

Brandon attended our services and you often told me Sharon how much you knew he was understanding. One day you called me and your voice was shaking. It was many years ago. Brandon was in his bedromm humming and singing the symbols of "AH AH AH" to the perfect melodic rhythm of "Jesus Loves Me." It was a beautiful moment and I will never forget it.

Today, Luvability Ministries has many outreach programs for the developmentally disabled as well as being established in 12 places in Michigan and Indiana. We reached 8,109 persons last year. Many of the original team still work in the ministry. We have lost Karen Samuels and Larry Wiseman. I trust they are at the gates welcoming Brandon.

I know Brandon knew Jesus and I know Jesus knew Brandon. May the love that is in your heart for your beloved son sustain all of you as you mourn his passing. Thank you for allowing me to meet him, hear him sing, and be reminded of God's love for all people.

Dear Don and Sharon, It is with a heavy heart and a bittersweet sense of joy that I send this greeting to you and your family in rememberance of Brandon. How well I remember his attendance and your friendship when you all were involved in Luvability and Brandon was one of our core members. I remember the day I met him in the parking lot and together we rolled the wheels on a red tractor together. Soon he attended the worship arts services. I remember you calling me one day Sharon with a shaky voice and a request to come over immediately. I heard Brandon singing in a perfect melodic rhythm "Jesus Loves Me", but the words were different. Brandon was singing...AH AH AH to the tune. It was a beautiful moment for mother to mother, but more importantly an audible promise that Brandon knew Jesus and Jesus knew Brandon. Today there are 11 Luvability Ministries to the disabled in Michigan and Indiana. Last yeat 8,139 persons with disabilites experienced the love of God. We are forever grateful for the memories of your son, his impact on the ministry and us, and the knowledge that he now lives with God. May your entire family rejoice in all that HE was to so many.

Our love and prayers,
Linda Van Dyke : Executive Director Luvability Ministries, the Team and all Brandon's friends in Niles

So very sorry to hear this news--our thoughts are with you. We made a contribution to Stone Belt online, but there was no way to specify that it was in Brandon's name. Just know we're thinking of you during this difficult time.
