Nancy was an excellent administrative assistant at E.R. Moore in Des Plaines, IL, Oakton Community College in Des Plaines,IL, and until retirement at Bayfront Medical Center, St. Petersburg, FL. She was a very creative person who loved colors and textures. She expressed her creativity in embroidering, cross-stitching, knitting, crocheting, sewing clothing, and making beautiful quilts. She generously gifted these creations to those she loved. She moved to Bloomington in 2005 to be near family and was a member of Sherwood Oaks Christian Church.
Survivors include her two children: her son, Neal Verch and daughter, Gail Pontius (Brad) of Bloomington; and three grandchildren, Claire (John) Roth of Bloomington, Joel (Laura) Pontius of Laramie, WY, and Jesse Pontius of Bloomington.
