Haley Dawn Horton
Haley Dawn Horton, age 28, of Bloomington, Indiana passed away at home on Thursday, November 22, 2018. She was born on July 31, 1990 in Monroe County to Ricky D. and Karen D. (Taylor) Horton.
Haley graduated from Bloomington High School North in 2009. Afterward, she attended Ivy Tech where she received an Associate's Degree, and made the Dean's list. She received a scholarship to attend Glamorgan Institute in Wales while attending Ivy Tech. Haley loved her dog, Leo, art, music, going on walks, astrology, everything to do with nature, going on the lake, and being outdoors. She loved her friends and always put others first. Haley devoted her time to helping others and she never gave up on people.
Haley is survived by her parents, sister, Heidi Horton, grandparents, Chester Dale and Loretta K. Horton, and Judith A. Taylor, aunts and uncles, Sylvia Franklin, Brian and Shawna Taylor, Patty and Rick Abel, and Bradley A. and Anthony Martin-Taylor, cousins, Brittany Bradley, Lexi Taylor, Brandy Lazell, and Megan Frye, several nieces and nephews, best friend and boyfriend, Nate Owens, and beloved dog, Leo.
Haley was preceded in death by her grandfather, Phillip O. Taylor, Uncle Bobby Horton, and several close friends.
Visitation will be on Monday, November 26, 2018 from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM at The Funeral Chapel of Powell and Deckard, 3000 E. Third Street Bloomington, Indiana.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM at The Funeral Chapel with burial to follow at Clear Creek Cemetery in Bloomington. Pastor Richard Borden will officiate.
