Willard C. Stewart
Willard C. Stewart, 88, of Bloomington, passed away on Wednesday at the IU Health Hospice House. Willard was born July 10, 1929 in Monroe County and was the son of the late Thomas and Flora (Grubb) Stewart.
Willard was a graduate of Smithville High School and worked for many years as a Stone Mason. He was a 50 year member of Paynetown Pentecostal Church where he served as a Trustee and many other roles throughout his life. He loved anything outdoors, especially fishing and hunting.
Survivors include his wife Burnis of Bloomington, 2 daughters, Suzette Weakley (John) of Ellettsville and Misha Kirts (Mark) of Bloomington, 2 sons, Michael Stewart of Bloomington and Jeffrey Hutchison (Alta Gaye) of Monticello, Kentucky, 11 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, one sister Darlene Hendershot of Spencer and a special nephew Melvin Stewart (Elizabeth).
Willard was preceded in death by his parents, infant daughter Rosanna Stewart, daughter, Eula Pearl Love, 2 sons, William Joseph Stewart and Michael DeWayne Wilson, twin brother Harold Stewart, brother Wendell Stewart and 2 infant sisters.
Services for Willard will be 11:00 am Saturday at The Funeral Chapel of Powell and Deckard with Pastor Cheryl Crum officiating. Burial will follow at Clear Creek Cemetery.
Visitation will be on Friday from 4-8 pm at The Funeral Chapel and from 10:00 am until service time on Saturday.
Memorial contributions may be given to Paynetown Pentecostal Church Fellowship Hall Building Fund.
