Richard H. Harrison
Richard H. Harrison, age 81, of Bloomington, Indiana passed away surrounded by his loving family on August 30, 2017 in Greenwood, Indiana. Richard was born on March 28, 1936 to Harvey and Margaret (Moore) Harrison in Pine Lawn, Missouri.
Richard worked 43 years for Otis Elevator Company. He enjoyed wood working, the outdoors, and Richard had a love for clocks. He enjoyed laughing so much, never met a stranger and would strike up a conversation with anyone, bringing a smile to their face. Most of all, he loved his family dearly.
Richard is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Marian (Frericks) Harrison, daughter Christina James (Dan) of Greenwood, Dan's sisters Debbie and Joni, four grandchildren Brandon and Josh Sims, Conner and Jacob James, sister Sue Squires (Ron) of Missouri, brother Pat Harrison (Barb) of Missouri, sister-in-law Carol Frericks of Missouri, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be held from 10 am until 11 am on Tuesday, September 5, 2017 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 2222 E. Third St, Bloomington, Indiana 47401.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 am on Tuesday at St. Charles. Burial will follow at Clear Creek Cemetery in Bloomington.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be sent to St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church or The American Cancer Society.
