Obituary for
Wesley Luke Neely
Wesley Luke Neely, 26, of Bloomington died at his residence Wednesday, March 30, 2016.
A beloved son, brother, and friend, he was born December 21, 1989 in Bloomington. He was the son of devoted parents, the late Robert “Bob” Neely and Lesilyn Swain Neely.
Luke attended Bloomington High School North where he played football. He worked for Casey Management Group and Castle Mulch and Nursery. He attended Bloomington Free Methodist Church.
Luke was a deeply caring young man with a huge heart and shining smile who enjoyed spending time with those he loved the most.
Surviving family members include his mother, Lesilyn Swain Neely of Bloomington, one sister, Hannah Neely McCuiston (Austin) of Baltimore, Maryland, maternal grandmother, Margaret Swain of Nashville, four aunts, Christanne Traxler (Gene) of Sharpsville, Davida Kean of Nashville, Sylvia Shroyer (Steve) of Nashville and Gwenyth Swain (Vince Dolan) of Holliston, Massachusetts, and several cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, George Henry Swain and Robert and Grace Neely.
The family will receive friends 12-2pm Saturday, April 2, 2016 at The Funeral Chapel of Powell and Deckard, 3000 E. Third St. in Bloomington.
A memorial service will be 2:00pm Saturday at The Funeral Chapel with Pastor Mel Nead officiating.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Shop With a Cop, payable to the F.O.P. Lodge #88, P.O. Box 1561 Bloomington, IN 47402.
